Fabric: The skeleton of our art.

As you well know, the physical manifestation of this art is through the fabric, which in a certain way, turns it into our skeleton.

The entire creative process from idea to finished product is expressed in a few square centimetres. This means that we have to be especially careful with the materials we choose.

In the first post we explained that our goal was durability and versatility, and we realized that there was no point in something that, when it was no longer useful, could not be broken down and regenerated to meet other needs. It was imperative that it could close its life circle.

In this way, we carried out in-depth research into plant-based fabrics, what options there were on the market, their limitations, advantages... And so we gained a better understanding of what opportunities we had when choosing the physical manifestation of our garments.

With this post, we encourage you, not only at Balqai, but in your daily life, to be aware of choosing fabrics of natural origin when making your purchases. It is a small but significant step towards making the textile world more sustainable, so that you can continue enjoying it for a long time.

All the best,

Balqai.
